My main area of research is psychiatric ethics and the philosophy of psychiatry.

Some of the key areas of my research are the following:

• Diagnosis, Conceptualization, and Treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Spectrum Disorders and Impulse-Control Disorders - with a special interest in OCD, Tourette's, and Compulsive Sexual Behavior Disorder (CSBD)
• Mental Disorder, Free Will, and Moral Responsibility
• Mental Health in the Criminal Justice System and Prison Abolitionism
